Marvel’s Super Hero, Thor, Will Help Raise Awareness of Quality Affordable Health Insurance in New York State
What: NY State of Health assistors will share information about affordable health insurance and how New Yorkers can shop, compare and determine their eligibility for financial assistance through the NY State of Health marketplace. Marvel’s Super Hero, Thor, will join the event for photos and a Marvel Custom Solutions’ coloring pages giveaway.
When: Friday, February 6, 13: 1 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Saturday, February 7, 14: 12 noon – 6 p.m.;
Saturday, February 7, 12 noon - 3 p.m.: THOR appearance
Sunday, February 8: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Poughkeepsie Galleria is featuring a “Sign Up NY” booth where in-person NY State of Health “assistors” provide information on enrollment and help determine if those without health insurance qualify for financial assistance. Research shows that some individuals who lack insurance may still be unaware of their potential eligibility for financial assistance. In fact, during the last enrollment period, 9 out of 10 people received help paying for their coverage.
