NEWBURGH, N.Y. (June 17, 2016) -- Representatives from the New York State Department of Health’s Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities Prevention and NY State of Health are partnering with Hudson Valley Community Services, Inc. to educate community members on how health insurance can improve their well-being.
Enrollment assistors will be at the Newburgh Illuminated Festival to answer questions on how to sign up for low cost, quality health insurance. The event takes place on Saturday, June 18 from 12 pm to 2:30 pm. Vendor spaces will be on Broadway (between Johnson St. & Colden St.) and on Liberty St. (from Broadway to Lafayette St.).
Community members will be able to:
- Get information about affordable health insurance
- Learn about financial assistance that may be available
- Make appointments with in-person assistors for future enrollment
- Participate in fun games and win prizes
