Marvel’s Super Hero, Iron Man, to Appear at The Mall at Bay Plaza
ALBANY, N.Y. (January 30, 2015) – On January 30, 2015 at The Mall at Bay Plaza in Bronx, NY State of Health continues its “Sign Up NY” tour, a statewide mall tour offering information and assistance to thousands of New Yorkers who lack health insurance. The weekend-long events, which kicked off January 2, 2015, run through February 15, 2015, at most mall locations. As a special treat, on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from noon to 3:00 pm, Marvel’s Super Hero, Iron Man, will be at the booth at The Mall at Bay Plaza to greet New Yorkers and share fun coloring pages and collectible Marvel comics for fans who visit “Sign Up NY.”
Beginning on Friday, January 30, The Mall at Bay Plaza will feature a “Sign Up NY” booth where in-person “assistors” will provide information on enrollment, including helping to determine if those without health insurance qualify for financial assistance. Research shows that many individuals who lack insurance are unaware of the enrollment period and that they may be eligible for financial assistance. During the last enrollment period, 9 out of 10 people received help paying for their coverage.
“There is no better way to kick off the New Year than by protecting your health,” said Donna Frescatore, executive director of NY State of Health. “Consumers who enroll in health insurance through the NY State of Health marketplace have a choice of quality, affordable plans and the peace of mind knowing they are covered.”
“Sign Up NY” booths will be open throughout January and February in the following mall locations. Information will be available, Fridays 1 p.m. to 7 p.m; Saturdays 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
