On October 14, 2014, New York submitted a Level One application for the federal Exchange Establishment grant. The State received an award of $63.8 million for this grant on December 17, 2014.  The project narrative is available below.

On November 20, 2012, New York submitted a Level 2 Exchange Establishment Grant application to support the establishment and on-going development of New York's Exchange through December 31, 2014.  The

On June 28, 2012, New York submitted a Level One application for the federal Exchange Establishment grant. The State received an award of $95.5 million for this grant on August 23, 2012.  New York received a supplemental award of $19 million for this grant on September 20, 2013.

On December 30, 2011, New York submitted a Level One application for the federal Exchange Establishment grant. The State received an award of $48.5 million for this grant on February 22, 2012.

On June 29, 2011 New York submitted a Level One application for the federal Exchange Establishment grant. The State received an award of $10.7 million for this grant on August 12, 2011.

On February 16, 2011, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced that New York was chosen as one of seven "Early Innovator" states.

In 2010, New York received a $1 million award from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for the first round of funding for the State Planning and Establishment Grants for the Affordable Care Act's Exchanges.

In 2010, the NYS Department of Health was awarded $2,300,000 for consumer assistance activities.
